Backstage reporters have spent the past week chasing every name on the roster for a reaction to GM Maurice Green’s teased new arrival — the “force of nature,” the “earthquake” nobody’s been given a name for yet. Most of DRC has an opinion. Hammer Clarion does not appear to.

Asked directly outside the training room whether the buzz around the signing worried him, Clarion didn’t stop wrapping his hands. A long pause. Then: “Somebody new. Okay.” Pressed again on whether he’d want the first match with whoever it turns out to be, he shrugged once and walked back inside without another word.

It’s the same read DRC has gotten on Clarion since he arrived — a man who sizes up a threat the way he sizes up everything else, quietly, and only tells you what he decided once it’s already too late to matter. Whoever DRC is bringing in should probably not mistake the silence for disinterest.
