When Hammer Clarion’s staredown with Bulldog Bully Stephenson dominated headlines last week, Nakazumi Hawaaiti made it known he wasn’t going to be written out of the Heavyweight Title conversation quietly. Today’s confirmation that all three men will meet in Friday’s main event settled the argument for him.

True to form, Hawaaiti didn’t raise his voice about it. “Everyone kept talking like this was two men and an afterthought,” he said, with the same flat contempt he brings into the ring. “Zanshin Lock doesn’t care whose name gets said first. It cares who taps.” He offered a short, exaggerated bow toward the camera before walking off — the same gesture he’s made a habit of aiming at opponents before he beats them.

With the title picture now locked for Reckoning #1, Hawaaiti’s case is no longer something he has to argue for. Friday, he just has to prove it.
