Shelby Catblack Wants Everyone To Know He’s Not Worried About The New Guy

If you know Shelby Catblack, you know the smile — the one that doesn’t switch off even mid-match. It was still there when reporters brought up DRC’s still-unnamed new signing. What came out from underneath it wasn’t.

“Force of nature? We’ll see,” Catblack said, arms crossed, chin up, a register nobody on this roster has heard from him before. “I’ve out-wrestled better than a rumor. Whoever it is better be ready to learn something, because I don’t slow down for anybody’s entrance music.”

He caught himself a beat too late — laughed it off, tried to wave the whole thing away as a joke — but the room had already noticed. Catblack has built a career on being the guy who’s genuinely happy just to be here. For one unscripted minute this week, he sounded like a man checking his own spot on the roster instead.
